About Your In-Room Hot Spring
Our hot spring water rises from the coastline of Futo at a remarkable 70°C — a gift of nature shaped by Izu’s volcanic landscape.
With such an abundant source, we invite you to enjoy the luxury of kakenagashi — a continuous free flow of fresh spring water throughout your stay.
Because the water is always replenished directly from the source, it can be difficult to maintain a perfectly steady temperature in the bath. We kindly ask for your understanding, and hope you will take the time to find your ideal temperature.
Important Notes
Since hot water is poured in from above, the surface may feel hotter than the rest of the bath. Please stir the water well with the wooden paddle provided, and always check the temperature with your hand before entering. (The thermometer is only a general guide.)
If you wish to enjoy a morning bath, we recommend leaving the hot spring water running overnight at the adjusted flow you set during the evening. Turning it off will cause the bath to cool, and the water may be cold by morning. Please be aware that temperatures can fluctuate significantly overnight — be sure to stir and check carefully before bathing in the morning.
An Important Request to Our Guests
-
All guestrooms, terraces, and indoor spaces are non-smoking. Smoking is permitted only at the designated area outside the main entrance.
-
After 22:00, please be considerate of other guests who may be resting. Keep voices, televisions, and bath use at a low volume.
-
For guests staying in multiple rooms as a group, we kindly ask that you refrain from gathering in one room after 22:00. Should you wish to spend time together, we can open the dining area for your use — please let us know.
-
If any damage, stains, or loss of hotel property occurs, please inform us immediately so that we may prepare for the next guest. Depending on the situation, compensation may be requested.
-
Please note that ISANA cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings, cash, or valuables, except in cases of intentional or gross negligence by the hotel.
-
Items left behind after check-out will be kept for 90 days (including the day of discovery). If no claim is made, they will be disposed of. Please note that food, beverages and undergarments will be discarded immediately.
-
Guests using the parking lot are responsible for their own vehicles. The hotel assumes no liability for management of parked cars.

Toilet paper is not replaced after every use, but only once it has been fully used.
Some guests may be surprised at first, but we ask for your understanding as part of our eco-conscious practices. For consecutive-night stays, sheets are not changed daily unless requested.
Towels are not provided in the public bath. Please bring the towels from your room. If you need extra towels, kindly ask a staff member.
Motion-sensor faucets are installed in the wash areas to conserve water and natural resources. Water will only flow when needed — please use them with confidence.
To reduce waste, kitchen food scraps are composted and returned to the fields we borrow locally.
We kindly ask guests to switch off lights and air conditioning when leaving the room.
To minimize plastic waste, in-room amenities are kept to a minimum. Additional items are available upon request if needed.
Among the amenities we do provide, hairbrushes and toothbrushes are made with 30% wheat material rather than 100% plastic.
Straws are not provided unless requested, and when needed, we offer only paper straws.
To avoid plastic bottles, the drinking water provided is distilled and served in glass bottles. Refills are available anytime — please let our staff know.
Many of the small herbs and edible flowers used to garnish your dinner dishes are grown here at ISANA Resort.
Coffee served at breakfast is roasted in-house. The used coffee grounds are then repurposed to nourish the plants grown on our grounds.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in supporting our eco-friendly initiatives.
